The Tianjin City Reception Lounge event was held on June 24 during the 2026 Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, in Dalian.

More than 120 people attended the event, including representatives of international organizations, business leaders, scholars and experts, and representatives of innovation institutions from more than 30 countries and regions.

Centered on the theme "Shaping the Next Paradigm of the Intelligent Economy", the event featured discussions on artificial intelligence, supercomputing, embodied intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and biomanufacturing. Through keynote speeches, innovation showcases, and expert dialogues, participants explored emerging trends in the intelligent economy and opportunities for global cooperation.

Tianjin Vice-Mayor Li Wenhai highlighted the city's commitment to developing new quality productive forces through innovation and accelerating the growth of a modern industrial system. He invited global enterprises, investors, and innovation organizations to share in Tianjin's development opportunities.

Experts and industry leaders from academia, investment, manufacturing, and technology sectors shared insights on AI governance, technological innovation, industrial collaboration, and talent cultivation. Participants agreed that the future of AI requires not only technological breakthroughs but also strong governance, skilled talent, and cross-sector cooperation.

The event also showcased achievements from leading Tianjin-based institutions, including the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin and advanced brain-computer interface research platforms, demonstrating the city's growing strength in intelligent technologies and innovation-driven development.
