Sergey Kulikov, General Manager of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, spoke highly of China's mature shipping development experience and Tianjin's role in international industry exchanges.

He said digital and intelligent technologies are fundamentally changing traditional shipping workflows, greatly boosting the efficiency and accuracy of core work — including vessel structural strength calculation that guarantees maritime navigation safety — and that digitalization will remain a core development direction for the shipping industry, while green new energy will lead the sector's future transformation.

Continuous technological research and cross-industry cooperation in China has been essential to formulate new industrial standards and upgrade the overall service capacity of the shipping industrial chain, Kulikov said.
