Nearly 300 robots from leading companies around the world will gather in Tianjin during the 2026 World Intelligence Expo, which will run from May 28 to 31, for the Smart Robot Carnival.
Held daily from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Tianjin Cultural Center, the carnival will combine robotics technology, cultural performances and interactive experiences, offering visitors an immersive experience.
Covering 17,000 square meters, the carnival will feature three major zones for robot exhibitions, competitions, performances and consumer activities. Fifteen top robotics brands, including Unitree and UBTECH, will showcase nearly 300 robots ranging from humanoid and quadruped robots to underwater, industrial, and service models.
Visitors will be able to explore more than 20 real-world applications in areas such as industrial logistics, elderly care, smart education and unmanned retail. The robots will also demonstrate skills such as cooking, preparing coffee and completing obstacle courses.
The opening ceremony will be held on May 28, when 1,500 drones will present a large-scale light show featuring Tianjin landmarks, Haihe River culture and smart industry themes. Robot soccer, obstacle racing and boxing competitions involving university and company teams will be open to the public free of charge. Visitors can also take part in activities such as robot calligraphy and robot dog obstacle challenges.
