The 2026 Asia-Pacific RoboCup Tianjin International Invitational Tournament will be held from May 30 to 31 at Hall N22 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Tianjin), turning Tianjin into a global stage for cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence.
Teams from Europe and the Asia-Pacific region will gather to compete in a series of high-intensity and highly entertaining robot competitions.
One of the main attractions is the humanoid robot football tournament. Robots in large, middle and small categories will take to the pitch, demonstrating impressive coordination as they dribble, pass and shoot with surprising precision. Even when they fall, they quickly stand up and continue competing.
Another highlight is the RCAP CoSpace competition, which integrates virtual simulations with real-world robotic tasks. Participants will compete in scenarios such as autonomous driving, search-and-rescue missions and intelligent delivery. A standout feature is the humanoid robot stage performance, where robots act out scripted stories through programming, combining storytelling with algorithmic execution and artistic expression.
The event will also feature a series of performances during match breaks. These include robot combat demonstrations, obstacle-course challenges and scenario-based shows.
