During the nine-day Chinese New Year holiday, Tianjin Binhai International Airport recorded 525,000 trips and handled 3,694 passenger and cargo flights, reflecting strong demand for family reunions and holiday travel.
Activity began rising on Feb 18 (the second day of the Chinese New Year), reaching about 60,000 daily travelers and peaking at over 65,000 on Feb 23. Flight operations peaked on Feb 21 with 436 flights in a single day. Throughout the holiday, the airport served an average of 58,000 travelers and 410 flights per day.
Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and Shanghai ranked among the most popular domestic destinations, while Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore were top international choices.

Under its holiday service program, the airport enhanced passenger support with dedicated assistance counters, special rest areas, one-on-one guidance for elderly travelers, children, and first-time flyers, and additional service posts and upgraded security facilities, improving efficiency and passenger experiences.
More than 300 volunteers from partner institutions and local universities provided on-site assistance across check-in, security, and arrivals.

Cultural activities, including intangible heritage displays, exhibitions, lion dances, and festive markets, were also introduced across both terminals, creating a lively holiday atmosphere. Since the start of the Spring Festival travel season on Feb 2, the airport has handled 1.26 million trips and about 9,200 flights overall.
