The China–Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Forum was held in the Chinese port city of Tianjin on May 29.

Hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Tianjin municipal people's government, the forum aims to promote pragmatic cooperation and expertise sharing between China and SCO member states in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) development and governance.

During the event, domestic and international experts discussed "AI technology breakthroughs and pathways", "application case studies and future prospects", and "security risks and regulatory governance".

China and SCO member states are poised to enhance collaboration in technology research and development, talent cultivation and industrial applications. These efforts are aimed at tackling technical challenges, accelerating the industrialization of AI technologies and promoting benefit sharing.
