On Feb 26, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, president of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a special visit to the Luban Workshop in Kazakhstan during his tour of the East Kazakhstan Oblast.

Accompanied by Saule Rakhmetullina, president of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, Tokayev meticulously explored the intelligent connected vehicle training area, delving into discussions on modern intelligent traffic management and vehicle-mounted intelligent connected technology platforms.

President of the Tianjin Vocational Institute, Zheng Qingchun, served as the Chinese construction partner of the Kazakhstan Luban Workshop. During the visit, he provided Tokayev with insights into the construction progress of the workshop and escorted him through a comprehensive tour of the automotive technology training area.

Tokayev attentively inspected the teaching equipment offered by the Tianjin Vocational Institute and observed the engaging activities of both teachers and students at the workshop.

Expressing his gratitude in Chinese, Tokayev remarked, "I am deeply appreciative of the contributions made by Chinese universities. They have executed exemplary work. I hope to see more workshops like this in Kazakhstan."

He then graciously participated in a group photograph with the principals of the collaborating universities from China and Kazakhstan, as well as the workshop's students.
