World Snooker International to open in Tianjin

The 2023 World Snooker International Championship is set to take place in Tianjin from Nov 5- 12, according to the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau. The event's draw and schedule have been officially released, and ticket sales began on Oct 23.

Renowned snooker players such as Ronnie O'Sullivan and Ding Junhui are all confirmed to participate, promising fans a huge treat.

Holding international A-level status, the tournament boasts a total prize pool of £825,000. From the current draw, it's clear that the first round will feature several exciting and intense matchups, delivering a snooker spectacle that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Tianjin has a century-old connection with snooker, having introduced the sport in the early 20th century.
