“It's clean, bright and quiet. In this environment, I can quickly get ready to interview, and there's no need to worry that someone might interrupt,” said Cheng Ruonan, a student at Tianjin University, while walking out of the school's interview room.

As online job interviews have become more widely adopted by many companies due to COVID-19, many graduates are in need of quiet and tidy places for interviews.

To meet this demand, TJU has altered some of its consultation rooms, offices and library reading rooms into quiet and comfortable places for online interviews. Students can use the rooms' equipment, such as tripods and lighting, to optimize their interview experience.

“It is our goal to better satisfy student’ various demands related to job-seeking. We try our best to facilitate communication between enterprises and students and provide practical services to graduates to help them get satisfying jobs,” said Liu Fenglin, director of TJU's Career Services Center.

The school now has 27 online interview rooms. An online appointment platform will be launched soon.
