Tianjin’s Baodi district has focused on ecological development while continuously improving people’s livelihoods and boosting high-quality development.

To boost high-quality development, it prioritized the improvement of its business environment.

“We focus on the construction of the industrial parks, which are represented by the Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City,” said Yin Xiangjie, secretary of the district Party committee.

The science and technology city has seen accelerated construction and development. There are over 600 enterprises and 60 projects, of which 23 have started production, and all of which are national high-tech enterprises.

To improve innovative vitality, Baodi has synthesized its original 18 industrial parks into five. It has used the internet and other channels to streamline government services and paperwork.

It has also faithfully implemented the principle of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” while pursuing development.

It has shut down polluting enterprises and set up more sewage water works. More importantly, it has promoted the afforestation and greening of 178,000 mu of land.

Baodi also completed the construction and reconstruction of 155 school buildings, as well as built a medical and health service network that provides timely service within 15 minutes, and constructed 715 sports venues.
