China-based foreign media correspondents, foreign internet influencers and domestic journalists visited Tianjin Tower on Oct 22 during "A Date with China" international media tour.
The tower, with a height of 415.2 meters, is a landmark in Tianjin that provides a panoramic view. It remains one of the world's few towers built over a lake.
It is also home to Tianjin's highest bookstore - the Western Shore Book House, 257 meters above the ground.

When readers feel tired, they can enjoy the scenery as the library overlooks the whole city. The library also has a coffee shop.
What makes the tower library even more attractive to readers is that it has cats that serve as library "curators" .

The cats represent a variety of breeds — ragdoll, exotic short-hair and chinchilla, to name a few. Their average age is one year.
The library — augmented by the slinky felines —is envisioned as a place where people can find solace.

The library’s ticket price is 80 yuan per person, with children and those aged 60 and above enjoying discounts.
Built in 1991, the tower is used primarily for communication.
