Tianjin is piloting exploring the possibilities of Internet plus healthcare, especially how digital and online services can power and integrate offline institutions.

In the city, 267 community-level medical and health institutions have become mightier in providing services as they now have “cloud” support with Wedoctor, an online medical service provider.

A Cloud platform digitally empowers the basic institutions to provide full-process medical and healthcare services including health records, regular physical checks, consultations, diagnosis and prescriptions, and builds a health-centric and efficient health maintenance system.

Patients can also access online consultations, have drugs delivered to their home, and enjoy family doctor services.

The introduction of the measures is a blessing for chronic disease and elderly patients as they have a constant need to purchase and collect pharmaceuticals.

Thanks to the improvement, patients can obtain high-level medical and healthcare services more conveniently and efficiently.

It is also connected to insurance and healthcare management data.

The platform aims to improve the physical condition of the public, increase medical efficiency and control the financial budget.
