Jinnan district in Tianjin, which straddles a downstream stretch of the city’s mother river, the Haihe, received approval from the city’s government to set up a district-level economic development zone in July 1992.

The establishment of the zone has brought about complementary development with the nearby Haihe industrial belt, and the Haihe Education Park.

It enjoys convenient transportation, being well connected in all directions via highways and subways.

The development zone has utilized different channels to attract investment, boosting strategic emerging industries such as the next generations of the information technology and biological industries, as well as high-end manufacturing.

To provide a better service to enterprises, the local government has pioneered the exploration of new service models, providing professional services in policy, markets, financing, employment, safety production, and environmental protection.

Boasting as ecological corridor along Haihe River, it also actively cultivates businesses that are compatible with the construction of a green ecological area totaling 736 square kilometers, with the district being the main focus of its environmental policies.

It is promoting ecological and cultural tourism integration, and is accelerating the construction of "Tianjin Smart Valley", fully advancing the development of its smart technology industry, forming a new agglomeration of business and providing strong growth momentum.
