Tianjin has utilized digital technologies including big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing via apps and mini programs, to help prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic and get people back to work.

One of the apps is Jinxinban, an upgraded version of the Tianjin government administration platform.

The government service platform is available for online administrative licensing, public services and other services covering establishment changes, qualification certification and other areas.

The Jinzhitong app is an integrated administrative platform for pandemic prevention and control at grassroots level, which covers villages, towns and districts in Tianjin.

The governance information platform helps to carry out accurate household inspection, personnel management and publicity for pandemic prevention and control measures.

Tianjin also uses a health QR code to assess the level of health risks and ensure the safety of residents.

The QR code system is based on the self-declared data of residents or migrant workers, and integrates with existing pandemic prevention information in China to generate a personal QR code for each applicant.

More than 100 cities and provinces in China have developed their own health code systems amid the coronavirus outbreak.

So far, about 700 million people have their own health code.

Tianjin residents can apply for their health codes through the Jinxinban app or Alibaba's financial service platform Alipay app.

Companies in Tianjin have given full play to technical advantages and used big data, AI, 5G and cloud computing to support pandemic prevention and control, which has become a new force of economic and social development in the post-pandemic period.

The National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin developed a novel coronavirus CT image comprehensive analysis assistance system based on its AI integrated system.

The official WeChat account of the Tianjin Higher People's Court launched a pandemic intelligent question and answer robot in February to provide pandemic information and to ensure the real-time circulation of data.

The robot also provides professional legal services related to pandemic prevention and control for residents.

Other local companies have also made contribution to the prevention and control of the pandemic.

Supercomputer manufacturer Dawning Information Industry, also known as Sugon, provided hundreds of servers for hospitals in Henan, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces during the pandemic.

Esint, a network system service provider in Tianjin, offered its network information data security services to healthcare departments.
