Tianjin's famous 69-year-old Foreign Languages Bookstore reopened with a new look and upgraded services on Dec 21.

It may be an unknown name to many born in the new century, but given one chance, it'll be a stranger no more.

Home to more than 20,000 original foreign books and with a European classic baroque decorative style, it presents a European aura and the exotic bookshelves, tables and lamps create a unique reading experience in Tianjin.

Established in 1950, it has long been regarded as the ideal place for Tianjin readers to purchase foreign language books and engage in foreign language learning.

The bookstore has been renovated with more public room for reading, and two VIP reading spaces.

In addition, it also serves as a learning platform of foreign culture and exchanges, providing art and cultural exhibits, cultural workshops and other activities.
