The Five Great Avenues, lying in the south of downtown Tianjin, lays claim to having one of the best-preserved clusters of villas in the country – with more than 2,000 villas sporting some glorious Western architectural styles.

With British, Italian, French and German design elements to be spotted in the grand buildings built in the 1920s and 1930s, it is widely considered an expo of period international building styles.

The Minyuan Stadium, a replica of the UK's famous Chelsea soccer ground, is located in the Wudadao area.

Starting Nov 8, the area is about to start winter offerings, where eight tourism festivals will be staged.

Activity one: Sea of Rose lamps

On Nov 8-10, the Rose Sea – boasting over 10,000 rose lamps -- will be installed at the Plaza to celebrate the opening of the Five Great Avenues night market.

Romantic violin performances, vibrant song and dance performances and other exciting programs will also be staged to provide the public with a feast of entertainment.

The 150-year-old Astor Hotel in Tianjin will launch its Cultural Night Market on Nov 7, providing singing and dancing performances, art exhibitions, theme salons, and intangible cultural heritage projects.
