Over 400 global talents gathered in Xiqing district to attend the three-day Haihe Talent Week activities which started on July 16.

Themed on Xiqing Talents, Smart Future, the activity aims to urgently match targeted high-end innovative talents with strategic emerging industries.

A number of events are being held during the activity, including high-level personnel exchanges and communications, competitions, seminars and forums.

The activity "segments" high-level talents with the industry development, efficiently matching them with leading teams in strategic emerging industries such as AI, biomedicine, new energy and new materials.

It aims to build a global talents pool. Awards are set for 22 overseas innovative and high technical projects.

"I chose Xiqing among the invitations I received from across the country. I think in addition to the most favorable policy and entrepreneurial environment, its high efficiency in service and respect for talents were also reasons for my choice," said Tian Dongkui, who enjoys the State Council Special Allowance and chairman of Tianjin Pharmacn Medical Technology Co., Ltd.

There are currently 217,700 talents in Hexi, and over 160 are selected as one of the key talents at or above the municipal level.

To streamline its administrative procedures and improve government services, Xiqing launched talents cloud smart service platform. There, talents can learn about Xiqing policies, project information, and vacancies released.

Li Qing, secretary of the Xiqing District Committee, extended invitation to talents and said the local government will serve talents whole-heartedly at the opening ceremony.

"I hope that the high-level talents will display their talents and realize their dreams in Xiqing.", said Li.
