Tianjin Grand Theatre

Tianjin Grand Theatre is designed by the internationally renowned German GMP company. The design concept is a “city stage” featuring concise and harmonious style.

The eight-floor facility, with a total floor space of 105,000 square meters is positioned as a comprehensive multi-functional art creation and performance halls for opera, concert, theatre, rehearsal, art gallery and other ancillary facilities.

Since it was put into use in 2012, the theater has invited leading artists and performing groups from home and abroad for thousands of performances such as Tianjin Cao Yu International Drama Festival, Opening the Door to Music and the Tianjin International Opera and Dance Festival.

It has welcomed nearly one million visitors from Tianjin and neighboring regions, as well as sightseeing tourists from all over the country. 

It has brought together famous artists from home and abroad such as Zubin Mehta, Sophie Mutter, Lopa Kinna and Pu Cunxin. These performances enrich Tianjin's performance audience.

Jinwan Theater

Jinwan Theater has 1070 seats and can accommodate various types of drama, music, opera and dance performances and hold art exchange and art promotion events. Jinwan Theater has organized many types of shows, including live concerts, children’s play, symphonies and dances. Genius pianist APAP’s Asian tour, Shakespear’s classic drama Macbeth, Ballet Swan Lake performed by St. Petersburg Ballet Company from Russia were once presented in this theater.

Binhu Theater

Binhu Theater is the specialized theater for Tianjin Peking Opera Theater. Sitting by the Tianta Lake, closed to Cathy Future and Tianjin Olympic Stadium, Binhu Theater is located in the center of Tiyuanbei with a beautiful surrounding environment and a convenient transportation.

Covering a land of 9,332 square meters, the theater's building has a dignified and vintage style with a simple but elegant exterior wall and European style window, eaves and roof. The unconventional architectural style also symbolizes the supreme status of a top Peking Opera theater and its exclusive theater.

Tianjin Concert Hall

Built in 1922, Tianjin Concert Hall was called Empire Theater until 1956. The hall was renovated from September, 2005 and was completed in August, 2009 with a floor area of 4,860 square meters. The performance stage, which is 20 meters wide and 11 meters deep, is capable of seating orchestras with 120 musicians. In addition, the stage also includes 5 lifting platforms, one large lifting platform at the front and an area for an 80-person chorus at the back.

Every seat in the Hall has undisrupted views of the stage. Furthermore, the fabric on the seats was specially designed to absorb sounds and the room temperate is pre-set, guaranteeing the perfect environment for the audience.
