There are numerous snacks with distinctive local flavor. Tianjin Cuisine is a unique cuisine in China, which has developed over hundreds of years. Restaurants with Tianjin characteristics can be found almost everywhere, the most famous ones being Goubuli Baozi, Zhengyangchun Roast Duck, as well as time-honored local brand Hongqishun, a Muslim restaurant with 80-year history. People can taste the specialties and explore the charm of local culture.

Pancake Rolled With Yau Char Kwai (煎饼果子 jianbingguozi)

This typical Tianjin breakfast is said to originate from Shandong province. The pancake is made of a blended liquid of mung bean, millet, spices, and water. After the pancake is ready, a fried dough stick is rolled in the pancake along with sauce and chopped green onions.

Goubuli steamed stuffed bun (狗不理包子 goubulibaozi)

As one of China's time-honored brands, the goubulibaozi enjoys great fame around the globe. The steamed stuffed bun could be found in overseas markets as early as the 60s. Gobulibaozi is also translated as the Gobelieve Baozi. It tastes delicious and is extremely well-made.

18th Street fried dough twists (桂发祥十八街麻花 guifaxiangshibajiemahua)

Shibajiemahua emerged at the end of the 19th century, home-made and preservative-free. It can be stored for three months in spring and autumn, and two months in summer.
