Tianjin is devoting great energy to develop intelligent technology industries, while focusing on strategic emerging industries such as information technology, biology and new energy.
Tianjin will also facilitate the deployment of advanced internet technology such as Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and others in promoting the industry development.
To date, the city has 61 national enterprise technology centers and 609 city-level enterprise technology centers. Manufacturing innovation centers such as modern Chinese medicine and intelligent networked vehicles have seen speedy construction. The launching of 15 major special projects and technology demonstration projects, such as Internet cross-border integration, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, rail transit, and technology services, also provided intellectual support for the city's manufacturing innovation and development.
The city has also issued action plans for the development of four strategic emerging industries in the next three years, namely, a new generation of artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials.
It will also explore new economic growth points for future development. At the same time, it will accelerate the attracting and implementation of projects such as FAW Volkswagen North China Base and FAW Toyota.
In Tianjin Sublue Ocean Science & Technology Co., Ltd. many independently researched and developed underwater "black technologies" were presented to the visitors. Among them, the White Shark MAX, a type of intelligent underwater observation vehicle which was awarded the China Design Red Star, winning new international fans.
