An international event on artificial intelligence cooperation among Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries was recently held in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone under the theme "Connected SCO: Co-creating Win-win with Intelligence".

The event brought together more than 200 government officials, industry leaders, and business executives from China and abroad, both online and offline. Overseas sessions were also held in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Participants explored new opportunities and practical pathways for AI cooperation as the technology rapidly evolves and expands into industries around the world.

Officials from China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan highlighted their respective AI development priorities and called for stronger policy coordination, technological collaboration, and industry partnerships. China noted that AI training and inference increased 42.86 percent year-on-year in 2025, reflecting the accelerating adoption of AI across sectors.

Industry experts and companies shared insights into AI development and international cooperation, with representatives from Alibaba Cloud, Unitree Robotics, SenseTime, and Kazakh investment firms presenting cases in AI cloud infrastructure, embodied intelligence, AI-generated content and computing hardware.

The event strengthened communication among governments, industries and investors, laying a foundation for deeper cooperation in technology, business and talent. Participants said they would work together to make AI cooperation a new engine of economic growth across the SCO region.
