Beijing-Tianjin Industrial New City signs 42 projects worth $1.98 bln

On March 28, the 2024 Wuqing Beijing-Tianjin Industrial New City promotional event and key project signing ceremony was held at the Beijing International Conference Center.

The 2024 Wuqing Beijing-Tianjin Industrial New City promotional event and key project signing ceremony takes place in Beijing.

This event saw the gathering of over 180 representatives of State-owned enterprises, key private companies and institutions seeking cooperation and exchanges.

During the ceremony, a total of 42 projects worth 14.32 billion yuan ($1.98 billion) were signed, covering the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent rail transit, biomedicine, new energy, new materials, cloud data applications and others. These projects, each with high technological content, strong industrial advantages and great development potential, are expected to further expand the industrial chain of key industries in Tianjin's Wuqing district.

From January to March this year, Wuqing district has signed a total of 183 projects, with an expected investment of 32.36 billion yuan, showcasing a promising local development future.

Over the years, Wuqing has given priority to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, undertaking the relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing and constructing a new highland for the aggregation of high-end industries. An industrial layout consisting of intelligent technology and biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment, new materials and automobiles has been formed. Efforts are fully underway to promote the local high-end, intelligent, and green development of industries.

Going forward, Tianjin's Wuqing district will provide more favorable policy support to attract high-quality enterprises and projects to settle, so as to promote local social and economic development.
