Tianjin was named a China dynamic city at a conference held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on Dec 3.

The evaluation was based on 18 indicators, including population, industry, environment, and culture. Twelve cities won the title, with the others being Guangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Changsha, Fuzhou, Yangzhou, Changzhou, Yantai, Quanzhou, Zhuhai, and Weifang.

Thriving industries in Tianjin are one of the main reasons the city was chosen. In recent years, Tianjin has seen a large number of new market entities and innovation institutions, especially in the fields of industrial internet and key technology materials. 

It has also transformed from a more traditional, industrial and port base into the centre of contemporary and indeed futuristic modernity.

The city's improving environment is also one of the factors, as Tianjin has been working to improve ecological governance. It boasts exciting ecological city developments incorporating futuristic visions for urban living.

It's Binhai New Area and particularly TEDA (Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area) has witnessed major investment in both high-tech industry and innovation. It includes Tianjin Port, one of the world's largest deep water container terminals and nearby 530 metre high CTF Finance Centre.

Tianjin, a city where architecturally east meets west, an increasingly modern, indeed futuristic city with a long and detailed history deserves visiting. In addition, Tianjin is a famous historical and cultural city.
