Tianjin Textile Group (Holding) Company, a large State-owned enterprise group in Tianjin, will speed up the high-end and modern urban industry's upgrading in the coming years.

The group has created a complete modern urban textile chain covering cotton manufacturing, wool spinning, new types of yarn-dyed fabric, industrial textiles, environmentally-friendly home textiles, superior printing, branded garments and textile health products, among other product categories.

Its main production base, the High-tech New Textile Industrial Park, is located in Binhai New Area and enjoys an advantageous location – 10 kilometers away from Binhai International Airport, 30 kilometers from Tianjin Port and 120 kilometers away from Beijing. Several surrounding highways serve the area.

In January, the textile group achieved sales revenue of 1.31 billion yuan($202.68 million), a year-on-year increase of 9 percent. Meanwhile, the group’s import and export volume hit $197 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.6 percent.

Based on its new development plan and by applying new development concepts, Tianjin Textile Group promotes strategic transformation and industrial upgrading to strengthen its import and export business and large-scale domestic logistics network.

It also plans to further develop its modern services, namely: venture capital, financial services, architectural design and vocational education.

The group will leverage its robust R&D system to improve its technological innovation level, the intelligent manufacturing level and the integration level of military-civilian industries while establishing strategic alliances with universities and high-tech companies.
