Tianjin TEDA head coach Uli Stielike will finish his 14-day quarantine on Friday but needs to have a chest CT scan before reuniting with his teammates.

Germany's Stielike returned to China from overseas on July 10 and started his mandatory quarantine that same day.

Based on the precaution guidelines of the 2020 Chinese Super League (CSL) season, all team members should have already received two COVID-19 tests and one antibody test before departing to either Dalian or Suzhou, the two competition zones arranged for the 16 CSL teams to start their new season on Saturday.

In addition, overseas players and coaches who have been in China less than three weeks before the season starts need to undergo a chest CT scan.

The new CSL season, which had been scheduled to kick off on February 22, was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and will begin on July 25.
